A poem

How do
I stand
amongst
you
all?

What do
you see
when
you
see
me?

What is
my why
amongst
you
here?

This is a poem where I think I’m trying to work out my place here, now.
Not in an all about me ego-driven way.
Just in a curious…

A throwback

The song that plays
back to the time
when my heart
was lost to another
only for it to be
taken and
broken.

It was another
life time ago
emerging from
a life alone
with myself
and the music
of Bruce Springsteen
by my side.

A little nowism.

I listened to this song again for the first time after perhaps 25 years, and it took me back.

To when I experienced some heart-break for the first time.

Love and hugs

A poem

Our dreams
of life
sit inside us
waiting.

They dance
through
our screens
in front
of us
with flicks
of buttons
and endless
scrolls.

They hide
when we
awaken
and grasp
for their
memories
and messages.

They sit
waiting
for us to
happen them
in our daily
lives.

Until we sink
into the dream
that is this
thing we
call life.

A poem exploring the ideas of the merging of what we call ‘dreams’ and ‘reality’. And how they are different sides of the same coin.

We consciously ‘live’ and unconsciously ‘dream’. And yet the answer lies in the blurring of these. And the realisation that we can learn to guide our own path through them. And then see them as one-the-same.

With love

A simple question each day so that I can listen to each of you.

How are you doing today — Benighted?

I feel sometimes like I lose touch with all of you here.
And sometimes all it takes is a simple question and reaching out, and then listening.

Feel free to reply if/when you’d like in the comments — and I will listen to you there.

Love and hugs
Mick
